Kenyon Opticians Website Launch

It’s here. New website. New brand philosophy. New us. We’re excited!

Well, here it is. THE website.

After a good eighteen months of mooting around ideas, researching the optical online presence in the UK and abroad, plus a fair fews discussions over a G&T in The White Horse, we came up with a plan.

We’d seen a website for a New York based opticians that conveyed their business with quirky illustrations and fashion content whilst maintaining the importance of eye health. It blew us away, so much so that we paid them a visit in Downtown Manhattan whilst on holiday earlier this year. (We introduced ourselves to the practice owner. No covert, mystery shopping for us!)

In early summer we had a brief and were recommended to contact Andy Driver at ADD Creative in Baildon. He came to see us with lots of ideas and a passion to get us where we wanted to be. After meeting up we were confident he could deliver our ideas and pull the website, branding and our (ongoing) marketing together.

Finding an illustrator was easy. Myles Talbot has been a customer for a number of years (check out his website! and he really has read our minds – the concept of Kenyon’s being an independent practice that’s part of the fabric of Bingley, offering local eye care and a personal service that is second to none whilst sourcing the kind of specs you see in magazine editorials, whether that be in Paris, New York, Milan or London.

The hardest part of this whole process? A lot of blood, sweat and tears have gone into this site (mainly Andy’s actually!) and having our photos taken was pretty traumatic (what to wear? Chin up!) but the result is something we are really proud of.

We can’t wait to add more content to the site as our frame ranges expand and new season collections are launched. Graham is so good at finding niche brands and the latest lens technology, he’s going to have a lot of fun adding it and bringing it to you all!

We feel the website truly reflects our vision (excuse the pun) of Kenyon’s Opticians…

To be THE destination for bespoke eye care AND THE RESOURCE FOR EFFECTIVE OPTICAL guidance.
